The national critical information infrastructure protection centre (NCIPC) of India is a very ambitious and much needed cyber security initiative of India. It can strengthen the cyber security infrastructure of India and help in establishing the offensive and defensive cyber security capabilities of India.
However, the NCIPC of India has failed to take off as on date. This ambitious project is yet to be launched despite the pressing needs of the contemporary times. India is considered an important player in ensuring international cyber security and preventing global cyber crimes. In order to meet this expectation India needs to develop cyber security skills. We need cyber security research centers in India to achieve all these objectives.
India has been facing serious cyber attacks including attacks upon India’s critical infrastructure. In these circumstances, critical infrastructure protection in India and critical ICT infrastructure protection In India becomes absolutely essential. Even the critical ICT infrastructure protection policy of India is need of the hour.
The cyber security policy of India must be formulated and implemented as soon as possible. Even dedicated cyber security laws in India are need of the hour. Perry4Law Organisation and Perry4Law’s Techno Legal Base (PTLB) hope that Indian government would do the needful in this regard as soon as possible.
